Lycoris, or the red spider lily, originally comes from China, Korea and Nepal. Lycoris is a Greek word that means twilight. The flower lycoris is known by many names – hurricane lily, resurrection lily, and equinox flower. An elongated leafless stem, called the scape, bears the blooms. When you look closely at the head, you will see that it has four to eight flowers, with wiry, projecting stamens. The large red flowers of the lycoris make it look like an instant enhancement to your garden.

Plant Care

- Use an 8-inch pot to plant your bulbs.
- Mix the special potting mix with soil to make it porous.
- Plant all bulbs twice as deep as the size of the bulbs.
- Water your plant generously and thoroughly right after potting.
- Place your pot where it gets at least 6 hours of sunlight.
- Water the pot every 3-4 days or whenever the soil feels dry.
